Within the documentary category, we have at our disposal a large number of them related to music and to which we have to add a new one. I'm talking about Black & Blus: The Colorful Ballds of Louis Armstrong, a documentary created by the Imagine Documentaries production company of Brian Grazer and Ron Howard According to Apple announced.
The Imagine Documentaries and Apple TV + Agreement was signed in January 2019, 3 months before the official launch of Apple's streaming video service, an agreement that it was extended last March with a priority agreement, so Apple TV + has the first word on whether or not to accept the new content that this production company creates.
Apple has approved a new documentary on the life of Louis Armstrong, a different documentary, since it will be narrated entirely through the words themselves of jazz music:
The documentary offers a definitive insight into the life and legacy of the music master as the founding father of jazz, first pop star and cultural ambassador to the United States. He was loved by millions of people around the world, but he is often misrepresented for not doing enough to support the civil rights movement.
In reality, his fight for social justice was fueled by his celebrity and his willingness to break his silence on issues of segregation and patriotism. With the full support of the Louis Armstrong Education Foundation, the filmmakers have access to a treasure trove of never-before-seen footage, including hundreds of hours of audio recordings, film footage, photographs, personal diaries, and a lifetime of ephemera for its exclusive use in the first major documentary devoted entirely to his life.
For now from Apple they have not announced when this new documentary will be released.
