An employment questionnaire filled out by Steve Jobs goes up for auction

Steve Jobs Letter

Many years ago I visited the Normandy coast, Omaha Beach and the whole area where the Allied landings occurred in World War II. It is very curious to see that in each town, they have their small museum with objects from the terrible battle that was fought in the area. Any object from that time has its value. I was very impressed by a handwritten letter that a soldier sent to his mother, explaining what he experienced the day of the landing on that beach.

En Silicon Valley Something similar must happen, but obviously for much better reasons for humanity. Any object that is forgotten in an attic and that has something to do with Apple, or Microsoft, or Atari goes from being a simple old scrap to being a collector's item, with a great value. Now a simple 1973 employment questionnaire is going up for auction. The funny thing is that Steve Jobs filled it out looking for work.

At the end of this month of February, a curious document will go up for auction, and it will surely have important bids for it. It is an employment questionnaire filled out by hand by the self Steve Jobs when looking for work in his student days.

Apple's co-founder, stuffed it in 1973, when he was already finishing his studies at Reed College. He was already 18 years old, and when he finished high school he decided to look for work instead of enrolling in a college to continue studying for a career.

Jobs Form

This handwritten document of a young Jobs was already auctioned for $ 175.000 three years ago.

A year later, he started working as a technician at Atari. There he spent time working with his friend Steve Wozniak. In their spare time, the two colleagues designed and built the first Apple computer in the famous garage of Jobs's parents' home.

In the form, Jobs fills in with his school Reed College as your address. He writes "Computer" and "Calculator" as skills, along with "Design" and "Technology," and says he has special skills that include "Electronics" and digital "Technology or Design Engineer."

This document was already auctioned in 2018, for more than U.S. dollar 175.000. The auction will be held online by Charterfields, following instructions from Begbies Traynor and Inquesta, liquidators of Sourcechain Technologies Limited. It will begin on February 24 and can be bid until March 24.
