Apple celebrates Earth Day with a performance by Ziggy Marley

During the last days we are seeing different initiatives by Apple to celebrate Earth Day. The culmination of all these acts has been a Beer Bash event, with the performance of Ziggy Marley, the son of the legendary Reggae singer.

A spectacular day has allowed a great concentration of people, Apple employees and the general public. Attendees have shared the various moments of the day through the social network Twitter, where both Tim Cook as Apple's environmental vice president have made their contribution to the event, with the presentation in a tweet.

After the end of the concert, the singer Ziggy Marley took the opportunity to thank Apple for the effort made in this type of event and its commitment to solar energy. He praised the example of carried out against other companies, both technological and otherwise.

Give thanks @tim_cook for having us. We had a fun time today, it was my first fully solar powered set. Thank you for the example you set for companies around the world. Apple is completely solar.

When the event was organized by Apple, all the energy used was clean energy, an aspect that the artists involved appreciated.

It's not the first time Apple has hosted Beer Bash concerts for employees. As an example, last year you conducted a similar event to celebrate World Accessibility Awareness Day, with a Stevie Wonder concert.

As a curious note, this concert and the previous ones in this sense, are being held in the Campus One Infinite Loop, former Apple headquarters, instead of relocating them to Apple Park. In fact, at no time is they talking about a possible transfer to Apple Park.

The reasons for this decision are unknown. This may be due to permits at the time of holding this type of event or not having in these comments the appropriate location prepared for these concerts. Finally, the Campus One Infinite Loop may be more suitable for this type of concert.
