Like every year at this time, Fortune has launched the list of the 500 most profitable companies worldwide. Apple, how could it be otherwise, is in the Top 5 of this list. Specifically ranks 4th in terms of benefits obtained. As for the global ranking, of all the companies, it is established in the twelfth position. As usual, number one is occupied by Walmart.
Apple is a winning company. Not just in profits or device sales. It is a company that achieves very high levels of satisfaction among its customers. At Fortune, each year each of the companies analyzed is assigned a position based on their profits. Based on this criterion, Apple has finished in fourth position, behind Exxon Mobile. This represents a decrease of one position, compared to 2019.
In global terms, Apple occupies in the list of Fortune, the position twelfth. Although the company earned $ 55 billion, there have been declines in the sales of iPhones (14%) and although wearables (AirPods and Watches) and other non-phone accessories (iPods, HomePods and Beats products ) increased by 41%, only representing 9% of the total.
Apple still has to be as big as Walmart, which has been at the top of this list for 7 consecutive years. Both in benefits and globally. But, keep in mind that the apple company has been on this list for seven years and always within the top 20 positions.
We will have to wait until next year for the list to be released again and see how the company evolves. Although i'm afraid things will not vary too mucho because of the Coronavirus and the global economic crisis in which we are currently immersed.
