AirPods and how they manage connections

I have been able to use the AirPods since they were put on sale a long time ago and the only thing I have been able to say in each of the articles that I have shared with you is the benefits that they have. They have an unusual design, they are recharged in a case that allows us to always have them ready to be used and also take up very little space.

The mode of connection to your devices is immediate and also uses the iCloud cloud so that you do not have to be connecting every time you get to a new device. However, there is one aspect that you may have experienced and that is that in the last days I have been able to verify that both the pairing with my iPhone and with my Apple Watch has had an abnormal operation.

When you open your AirPods for the first time, the first thing you have to do is bring them closer to the iPhone and as soon as you open its top cover, they are shown on the device screen asking you if you want to link them. By telling him to link them in a few seconds you have them ready to be used. At that same moment, when they are already synchronized with your Apple ID, if you take your iPad and it is connected to the Internet, if you wear the AirPods at that time, the iPad recognizes that you have them and plays the sound. However, if you change the device and Apple ID AirPods, they take longer and longer to connect.

To synchronize the AirPods with a new iPhone we do the same, this is to bring them closer to the second iPhone and open the cover of the case. At that moment the AirPods inform on the iPhone screen that they are not your AirPods and it asks you if you want to connect them to the new iPhone. To do this, it asks you to press the back button of the case until the interior LED turns white.

Now you have two iPhone on the internal list of AirPods. If you did the same with another iPad, you would already have three devices in the synchronization list that are being saved in the order in which you have synchronized them, so when you want the AirPods to connect to the first iPhone you will have to wait much longer. because it has to check the list of devices it has stored until it finds the one you really want. To avoid this what you should do is to unlink your AirPods from those other iPhone or iPad so that the internal list that is stored in them is cleaned.
