AirPods will get smarter in September

Since the AirPods are on the market they have undergone automatic updates by Apple of the firmware that makes them work and it is that initially there were battery drain issues from both the AirPods and the charging case.

With the first firmware update that Apple did, this small but important detail was corrected and now I can tell you that I have been without using them for a period of time of more than two weeks, but when I picked them up there they were still with the battery intact.

Well, the thing does not stop and is that Apple continues to work on both firmware updates, which are less frequent, and software. With the next major version of the iOS device system, that is, with iOS 11, we will have news in regards to the operating settings of the AirPods.

One of the things that many Apple followers criticized in the beginning was the few gestures that had been implemented in them for use without having to go to Siri so much. With this we are referring to the control of them according to the touches we made on the AirPods on their sensors.

Until now, it didn't matter if you made those touches on the AirPods right or left AirPod that the answer would be the same, but with iOS 11, Apple seems to have increased the configuration possibilities and it is that from September they can be configured separately.

Now we can select an operating mode by giving two touches on the right side or on the left side, one touch on the left or one on the right, and thus they have established new patterns of touches in the same as You increase the control possibilities without always having to go to the Siri assistant.

If you upload to iOS 11 beta, you define them as you want, you go back down to iOS 10.3.2 and they are still defined as iOS 11, that's how I have them.
