Today we bring you the proof of ajax security system, a very interesting proposal to set up your own security system at home and no need for cables, without monthly fees and with a totally modular system adapted to the needs of each user. Top quality security

Our safety kit

In this way, in our case we have chosen to mount this safety kit (although each person can ride the one that suits their needs):

• 2 Hub: it is the main element of the security system and the one in charge of managing all of them. It is a base with an Ethernet connection, a battery life of up to 16 hours and two microSIM slots so that it can work even without power supply. This component is the only one that needs cables in the whole kit
• REX: is a signal repeater that allows you to increase the range of all Ajax devices. An essential element if we want to protect larger areas such as offices with several floors, a building with land or the like.
• StreetSiren: an outdoor siren that through sound and lights is able to warn of intrusions.
• Fireprotect- A sensor that will detect both smoke and the sudden rise in temperature that occurs in a fire. The device has a built-in siren so you don't need to install an auxiliary siren.
• Motion Protect Outdoor + Hood- A wireless outdoor motion detector pack together with a protective cover to protect it from rain, sun or snow.
• Motion Protect Plus: an indoor motion detector specially designed for spaces with rooms with air conditioning or a fireplace since it does not react to this type of element to avoid false alarms.
• Glass Protect: a small glass break detector to place on windows.
• DoorProtectPlus: a door opening detector that, in addition to the opening itself, is capable of detecting vibrations and even variations in inclination.

These are the items we have tested in our setup, but If you enter the Ajax website you can see its wide catalog of available accessories for all kinds of needs such as panic buttons, detectors of all kinds, smart plugs, external keyboards to enter passwords, remote controls in the form of a keychain, etc.

Cordless, with long range and long battery life

As we have already indicated, one of the strengths of the Ajax system is its comfortable and clean installation since all accessories work with long-lasting batteries and we do not need to put extra cables in our house. You also do not have to worry about whether the area has Wifi coverage, since Ajax systems use a own connection protocol called «Jeweler» and with which you get radios of action of more than 2.000 square meters and that in case of need you can expand even more thanks to the Rex repeater.

One of the highlights of this protocol is its low power consumption which allows Ajax devices to have multi-year battery life. And in case of need, after a few years the batteries can be replaced with new ones in a simple way and at a very reasonable cost since they are normal and ordinary batteries.

Fixing the elements

Almost all Ajax devices come with a double-sided tape, which together with their light weight makes it possible to install them anywhere no need for drills or holes. Simply peel off the tape and stick it wherever you like, hold tight for a minute to stick perfectly, and you're done.

If the physical installation of the kit is very simple, the system configuration is not far behind. Ajax has an application (App Store y Google Play) very intuitive with which you can configure all the accessories one by one. You must first configure the base (hub) and then simply scan the QR code of each of the accessories, give it an appropriate name and a room, and you're all set.

As you can see in the upper screenshots, the app is really easy to use. In a few minutes of practice you will be able to manage the entire system from your mobile with complete peace of mind.

Goodbye to monthly fees

As we have highlighted at the beginning, this security system is assembled by yourself and under your needs. You are not obliged to pay any monthly fee but Ajax does allow you the option to do so and for this it has a long list of services that are compatible with your system.
