Every time an important day is celebrated around the world, be it a sporting event, a special day, a ceremony ... the guys from Cupertino usually create new sections in the different app stores for the different platforms of their ecosystem. But sometimes he also launches an emotional announcement to celebrate it. At the beginning of May we showed you the new ad that the company had launched for celebrate mother's day, a day that is celebrated on Sundays in the month of May in almost all countries in the world, a video that we already showed you in Soy de Mac.

If you remember this announcement, you would see how Apple showed us a large number of photographs that had been sent by iPhone users for the Shot on iPhone program and that Apple had considered appropriate to launch this announcement. But according to French publication Jeanne Magazine, Apple has modified the ad in some countries eliminating pairs of the same sex that appear in the same. Some of the countries where these photographs have been removed are Germany, Italy, Turkey, Japan and France, however in the rest of the countries including Spain and Mexico, we can see those photographs.

Like any other large company that lives off its customers, Apple modify your ads to try to accommodate different cultures where it targets its ads to try to hurt sensitivities, but it is not the only one. Toyota and Coca-Cola are two clear examples of companies that have been "forced" to eliminate same-sex couples in their advertisements in countries such as Ireland and France, replacing them with heterosexual couples or by other scenes such as the advertisement of Coca-Cola in which he showed images of a football game instead.

Understandably, Apple won't risk a penalty where same-sex couples are illegal. It is only a question of not violating the laws of the country where the products are presented.

Apple has to take care of itself and not cause unnecessary controversy; it has enough with its outdated hardware. It reminds me of the path that Benetton took and that in the end meant losing markets until it became almost irrelevant.
