Apple's Find My‌ will be delayed for the ‌AirPods Pro‌ and ‌AirPods Max‌

Search

The option to Find the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max that was announced to be available soon will suffer a delay in its launch after the Cupertino firm announced it earlier this year.

Apple's Find My‌ that had to be close to being available for the ‌AirPods Pro‌ and ‌AirPods Max‌, suffers again a new delay in its launch and is now indicated on the Apple website for later than "late autumn" without a specific date. In this sense Apple does not indicate any reason for this small delay in the launch, but several functions of iOS 15 will not be available until the end of this year, such as SharePlay, Legacy Contacts, the ability to add a driver's license or an ID in the Wallet app, and others.

Locating the lost AirPods will have to wait a little longer

The options to find lost AirPods will remain almost the same as with other Apple products, Macs, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and it will also work as is now the case with AirTag locators.

This means that if in addition to having the "Search" option active when we have the iPhone nearby we lose the headphones and someone passes by with an iPhone, iPad or Mac these they will be connected in a totally private way to send the location to the owner. Obviously without the need to do anything both on the part of the sender and the recipient of the notification.

Precision Search will hit the headphones sometime this year so it will be easier to locate them in the event of a loss via on-screen prompts. At the moment everything is quite stopped and does not work officially in the beta version of iOS 15, It is possible that we will have new news soon but for now we have to wait.
