Apple Accepts Donations to Address Hurricane Harvey Damage

Since last Thursday we are hearing that during the weekend, Apple, would confirm the date on the imminent keynote of presentation of new products. On the other hand, we do not have news in this regard, but something more important. A solidarity action in relation to the last hurricane that has caused catastrophes on the southern coast of the United States. Both on the company's website in the United States, as well as when entering the iTunes page, we can find a banner, where we are encouraged to make a contribution to help in the restoration produced by the catastrophic action of Hurricane Harvey.

Tim Cook himself has published the action that Apple will take on his Twitter account.

Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast last Friday as a Category 4 hurricane. Little by little, its devastating capacity has been reduced, until it became a tropical storm a few hours ago. At this time, volunteers and other means continue to rescue people who have been trapped in their homes.

Apple usually participates in this type of campaign for meteorological disasters. As in previous actions, you can collaborate with contributions between $ 5 and $ 200, full money that will be deposited in the Red Cross account in the Americas region.

In the past the company collaborated in the collection of funds for actions against the devastation of Hurricane Matthew, the floods in Louisiana, but also outside its country of origin, such as the Nepal earthquake, among other catastrophes.

Apple's involvement with the environment includes the reconstruction of areas affected by severe inclement weather, but also in the care or reforestation of forests.
