The application creation process is an arduous task for developers to carry out with a trial and error system in different improved versions or betas until the stable version appears where supposedly most of the bugs have been fixed. In this way, one of the most complicated parts prior to the release of the final version, it would be much faster to analyze.

For this same reason it seems that Apple has taken all this into account and wants to make it easier for developers, so now in the latest beta of Xcode 6.3 it has introduced a new service which collect error logs of users and organizes them into downloadable crash reports.

At this point, developers must check the corresponding box when uploading the application to iTunes Connect or if it is published in the App Store, the user must agree to share error logs with the developers. Once configured, the service that creates the error or crash reports does the following:

  • Collect the error logs of the builds published both in TestFlight and in the App Store.
  • Provides the total number of devices where the error occurred.
  • Provides a set of error logs for each report.
  • Delete all the user's personal data from the error logs.
  • Create bug reports daily.
  • When you open the Crashes organizer, Xcode starts updating the error reports for all registered applications.

On the other hand, Apple has published a help page to better understand how this system works. Both the new bug reporting service and the Xcode 6.3 beta come hand in hand with the latest released beta of OS X 10.10.3 and iOS 8.3.
