Buildings with history are precisely what Apple is looking for for its stores and in this case we are in front of one of the Significant Store that will convince its visitors for several reasons, but the main one is obviously due to the restoration and remodeling process of a building that has nothing more and nothing less than 125 years old. Precisely for this restoration process the company has worked with conservation experts to preserve the historical facades, recover the original style of the interior spaces and restore the unmistakable details from the early twentieth century.
The photos they have shown and that you can see after the jump are spectacular, but we are sure that we will be inside the new store that is located inn the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square, it has to be awesome.
It is best to see the photos to enjoy this building a little more Beaux Arts style that once housed the Washington DC Public Library
Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's Senior Vice President of Retail + People (since Angela Ahrendts left the company) explained in the media:
Whether you come discover new products, visit a Genius, or bring out your creative side in a Today at Apple session, Apple Carnegie Library is a place for everyone. We are very happy to share with all who visit us in Washington DC this magnificent space that will serve as inspiration for future generations.
