Apple changes employee bus routing to prevent vandalism

In the last weeks, Buses that transport Apple employees from San Francisco to Cupertino are being vandalized. Inexplicably, several buses have been attacked in the middle of the journey with the throwing of an object, even breaking moons. At least no personal injury has occurred.

Both internally at Apple, and from information collected by Mashable, it is speculated that the breakages may arise from shots with rubber pellets. These events occurred unless there is evidence, between January 12 and 16. The cause of the events is unknown.

As a result, Apple has taken the measure, at least temporarily, of change the route of the company's transport buses. This measure came into effect last Wednesday. Nevertheless, This safer route, to call it that, makes the route more expensive between 30 and 45 minutes, to Apple headquarters. The employees were informed Tuesday night, by an email sent by the company. He himself said:

Due to recent incidents of broken windows along the commute route, specifically Highway 280, we are reversing bus routes for the time being. This change in routes could mean an additional 30-45 minutes of travel time in each direction for some passengers.

As always, the safety of our employees is our first priority. We are working closely with the police to investigate these incidents and will notify you as soon as the buses can return to the normal route. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

The positive part is having the area where the attacks occur so far. Therefore, avoiding this part is paying off, despite the setback of lengthening the time of the route. On the other hand, it is being investigated what type of projectile hits the moons, as it appears to be unknown. Once the type of artifact has been detected, the investigation can proceed.

It is not the first time that Apple or other technology companies, located in San Francisco, have suffered incidents due to acts of protest , but this action has gone further by breaking vehicle windows, which could cause injury to people.
