It seems that Apple continues to work on improving the infrastructure of its iCloud data cloud. As we all know, this service has been improving over the years and what initially started as a place where we could only backup our mobile devices now. it is a place where we can store a lot of information.
Another thing that is achieved with the iCloud cloud is the synchronization of data between our Mac and the different mobile devices that you have associated with our Apple ID. Now so far Apple had imposed a series of limits at the time of the data to be synchronized that have been modified at this time.
Already in the compilation that we offered you this morning we reminded you of the news that this week we gave related to the timing issues what a user might suffer and how to fix them. iCloud has limitations that can cause problems when syncing with your devices. Those problems can come from Contacts that we have in the agenda, Calendars, Reminders and Safari favorites.
Apple has modified those limits and below we offer you the new values bringing the iCloud cloud works:
Contacts
- Total number of contact cards: 50.000
- The maximum size of a contact photo: 224 KB
- The maximum size of a contact group: 256 KB
- The maximum size of a contact card: 256 KB
- The maximum size of all contact cards: Card text: 24 MB, Card photos: 100 MB.
- Supported file types for a contact photo: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF
- vCard import limits: Total number of vCards: 50000, the maximum size for a vCard: 256 KB (photo + text), and the maximum photo size for a vCard: 224 KB.
Calendars and Reminders
- Total number of calendars, events, and reminders: 25.000
- Maximum combined number of calendars and reminder lists you can have: 100
- Maximum number of attachments per event: 20
- Maximum number of attendees you can invite to an event: 300
- Maximum number of people you can share a private calendar with: 100
- Maximum number of characters in a reminder title: 100
- The maximum size of all calendar and reminder data (not including attachments): 24 MB
- The maximum size of all event attachments: 300 MB
- The maximum size of a calendar event including attachments: 20 MB
Bookmarks
- Total number of markers: 25.000
- The maximum size of all bookmarks: 24 MB
- The maximum size of a bookmark: 4KB
