Add up and go on. Apple continues to launch initiatives in favor of those situations that it believes are worthwhile. It is not only a company dedicated to manufacturing technology, as we have said on other occasions. Tim Cook has announced the Racial Equity and Justice initiative that will have a suggestive injection of initial capital.
Via Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced the new initiative promoted by the American company. Apple's Racial Equity and Justice initiative will have an initial commitment of 100 million.
After having supported the demonstrations against racism generated as a result of Floyd's death and having quickly updated Apple Maps for the mural to be seen in Washington, now by Apple's vice president for environment, policy and social initiatives, Lisa Jackson, this new initiative is launched.
That this new project be directed by Lisa Jackson because:
Lisa has revolutionized our environmental work by looking beyond the company, bringing existing teams and projects together under one umbrella, dramatically expanding those efforts, and exacerbating and magnifying their results. We want to bring that same holistic approach to racial justice and break down barriers to offer the same opportunities throughout our society.
The unfinished work of racial justice and equality call us all to account. Things must change, and Apple's committed to being a force for that change. Today, I'm proud to announce Apple's Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, with a $ 100 million commitment. pic.twitter.com/AoYafq2xlp

The work will consist of work with historically black universities, community colleges, underserved students and faculty, as well as forge new partnerships with organizations such as the Equal Justice Initiative.
Fighting for equality and justice for my community has driven my career as an environmentalist. I'll continue the work leading Apple's Racial Equity and Justice Initiative. #BlackLivesMatter https://t.co/JKuaQP3I2r

Cook says this comprehensive effort is governed by three principles:
- Representation.
- inclusion
- Responsibility. Those who benefit the most should be those who help and promote solidarity actions with those most disadvantaged.
In the message, Cook says goodbye thanking all those who drive change so that societies move towards a fairer and more equal future.
