Apple drops to 5th place with its new MacBook laptops

According to the prestigious survey conducted by Laptop Mag, Apple continues to worsen its position compared to previous years, in terms of better or worse laptop brands in the current market. Although its nominal position has been in 1st place for several years in a row, since 2010 when this survey began, factors such as the high price of these as well as the limitations of the device's ports of entry, have made it easier for other brands such as Lenovo, Asus or HP are today in front of the Californian company.

Thus, Apple occupies the 5th place, along with the brand Acer, tied on points, and behind Lenovo (1st place with 90 points), Asus, Dell, and HP (2nd with 86 points, 3rd with 83, and 4th with 82, respectively). The survey assesses a series of very broad parameters, from design to warranty, technical support or innovation.

While Apple, how could it be otherwise, leads the statistics of design, technical support and warranty offered, the global review of each and every device punishes MacBooks harshly, largely due to the lack of innovative features, the high price and the discreet portfolio offered by the company.

These statistics are significant enough to penalize the overall product, and relegate the new MacBook Pro Touch ID to the 5th position with a score of 78 out of 100, far behind main competitors, such as Lenovo, Dell or HP.

Apple survey

It is expected, based on information provided by analysts, that in the next Macs review, new models come with improved features but keep the current price, a strategy already taken by the Cupertino-based company in 2013 and that worked perfectly, consolidating Apple that year in the 1st position.

Let's hope that Apple manages to overcome this survey that it currently has againstas many customers rely on surveys of this type to make their final decision before purchasing their new laptop.

It is that that ridiculous Touch Bar is complete nonsense, they had better focused on conserving the ports of the previous generation, 32Gb of Ram, Kabe Lake processors and a less noisy keyboard.

I agree, I bought the 1-inch MBP and 15 processor 2.7 month ago and they were definitely wrong with the ports, if they had included an adapter as the technology changes to USBC they would have kept their buyers somewhat happier. For me the touchbar is something that is useful sometimes, it definitely doesn't change your life but I like it. The design and the speakers are the best there is or I have seen. The price is definitely exaggerated and therefore its low evaluation in this area.

Apple is a very good quality brand and it is very good but what makes it go down are not its innovations, in my opinion some things are very advanced for their time, such as the universal port, they are not widely used, it should be the USB, and the biggest drawback is the price, they could use cheaper materials or see a way to minimize costs, being such elegant and prestigious I think it exaggerated, but I'm not saying it's bad, on the contrary, it's beautiful as a brand and as a MacBook, I just think that it should be more accessible to people, since there are people with a somewhat reduced economy, although this device is very expensive I would buy it, although I am only 13 years old, I think it should be accessible.
Apart from everything, the work and dedication of the devices is beautiful, it is beautiful and very admirable.
