Apple employees are also unable to travel to Italy and South Korea

Apple to offer aid against coronavirus

Now that coronavirus cases have started to decline in China, Covid-19 has begun its international expansion. Italy and South Korea are two of the countries, along with Japan, where the number of infected has grown in recent days, and according to what they say from Bloomberg, Apple has restricted the flights of its employees to both countries.

In a memo that Apple has sent to its employees, the company claims that it is instituting a new set of travel restrictions to both Italy and South Korea, so that employees can only travel to these areas for "business reasons" and all travel requests have to be approved by a vice president of the company.

In the same statement, Apple urges employees to conduct video conferences whenever possible and that they cancel or delay the trips that they have programmed to both countries in case these cannot be managed by a call or a videoconference.

Apple also claims that cleaning protocols are your top priority right now, a protocol that affects both physical stores and offices that Apple has throughout the world. Any employee who has a fever or severe cough should stay home until fully recovered. Also, suggest that they wash their hands frequently, not touch their faces, and cover their mouths when they cough.

WWDC 2020 on air

A few hours ago, Google announced that it is canceling the annual developer conference held every year in mid-May, once again due to fear of the coronavirus. Although Apple has not officially ruled on the matter, but it is very likely that Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference will follow the same path.
