Apple Events for tvOS migrates to the TV app

WWDC

Every year around these dates, Apple updates the Apple Events application available on Apple TV to allow users of this device, follow the inaugural WWDC conference correspondent. This year, it will be a different WWDC, since it will be online, but also, it will no longer be possible to follow through this application.

The latest update that Apple has just released to the Apple Events application for Apple TV shows us a message that invites us to follow the event directly through the TV application, where any user will be able to follow the event from an iOS device, a movement that indicates that the Apple Events application has come to an end.

It seems that Apple's idea is to offer the maximum possible content through the TV app, an application with which we can enjoy all the content available on Apple TV + and access the content that is available on other platforms such as Netflix, Disney +, Amazon Prime and HBO.

Another novelty related to this event is that if our Apple TV is compatible with 4K, we will be able to enjoy the event in this quality. An important novelty since all the previous events were broadcast and recorded in 1080p, so this will be the first keynote transmitted entirely in 4K.

WWDC 2020
