Apple fights back and sues Koss

Apple sues Koss

Last July, the Koss company, specialized in the manufacture of audio devices, sued Apple for patent infringement. Koss argues that Apple by selling AirPods, AirPods Pro and Beats by Dre wireless products, has damaged the company irreparably by violating patents in part or in full. The move of the company led by Tim Cook, counterattacks and in turn sues the Koss company.

Koss filed in the United States District Court in Waco, Texas, a lawsuit in which he accused Apple of infringing a number of patents.

This demand involves AirPods (in both models), Beats by Dre products, HomePod and Apple Watch. Also specified in the lawsuit was the infringement of a patent in the use of wireless devices, to operate on a wireless network.

Apple has not backed down from this situation, (it is quite used to it on the other hand). Has made a defense and attack play before the Court District Attorney for the Northern District of California Division in San José. He defends himself against the accusations of the Koss company in five briefs (one for each patent infringement lawsuit) and in the sixth document, comes the attack.

Apple has in turn sued Koss for breach of contract by a confidentiality agreement. Exactly references a document dated August 6, 2017, where both companies were in talks about licenses:

the parties agree not to use or attempt to use any Communication, or its existence, in litigation or in any other administrative or judicial procedure for any purpose.

Apple petition the Court which prevent Koss from using the discussions raised under the confidentiality agreement in any lawsuit.
