Apple invests more than 330 million dollars for the development of microLED displays

microLED

New millionaire investment by Apple for the development and production of microLED displays which will be the ones installed by the following equipment from the Cupertino company in the coming years. We already know that Apple's investments in this sense are greater than those mentioned in this figure from the headline, but this time the investment is direct in the Epistar LED factory and the manufacturer of LCD panels, AU Optronics of Taiwan. The two will join forces to create a new plant in Longtan of the Hsinchu Science Park.

We are almost certain that this plant will be one of the important ones for the company and the production of these microLED panels since the investment is strong. It is 334 million dollars what Apple invests in the new plant and from Apple a development team would have already been sent to Taiwan to work on the project.

Perhaps the most recent rumors about the new Apple Watch Series 6 that we saw a few hours ago in soy de Mac in which it is said that they will come without this type of panels, whether true or not, what is clear is that the investment in these screens by Apple is clear and sooner or later they will end up reaching the market. It could be on a Mac or it could be on an Apple Watch, what is evident is that the apple company is betting heavily on this technology that would be the substitute for OLED panels in the future.
