Once again Apple has just been named by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the most innovative company above rivals like Samsung or Google in second and third place respectively.
The funny thing is that since it began in 2005 this ranking so particular Apple has occupied the number one position year after year, however the second position has been more disputed and is that Google has been occupying that place from 2006 to 2012 until this year Samsung with its rapid expansion and growth has managed to snatch it away.
It must be borne in mind that the ranking not only refers to technology companies but that many more companies with different business models enter, such as Toyota, Ford or BMW where in the TOP 50 According to this consultancy, there are more automobile companies than technology companies.
The BCG ranking is based on a global survey of more than 1.500 senior executives representing a wide variety of industries. The survey peaks were supplemented by three financial measures: Number of shareholders in three years, revenue growth in three years, and overall growth in an equally three-year period.
They also have a place in this list young companies or relatively young people who are innovating in the latest technologies, such as social media, mobile applications and cloud-based services. In this BCG group appears Pinterest, WhatsApp, Square, Spotify, Rakuten, Alibaba, Xiaomi Tech, Netflix ( NFLX ) and Groupon ( GRPN ).
It seems incredible that Apple remains number one given the growing competition year after year, but it also shows that they are and will be a safe value at least in the medium-term future.
