Apple Releases Definitive Version of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

Yosemite-beta-terminal-developer-0

Apple just released the final version of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 for download and the first thing we have looked at was if there were references to the correction of the Wi-Fi failure, and yes, we have a correction that refers to it.

We are facing the second version available for users of OS X Yosemite from its launch in the month of October and in it we find some important improvements in iCloud Drive security, several minor bug fixes y finally what seems like the solution to the persistent problem with Wi-Fi connections, which had numerous users tormented.

Without further ado, we are going to see the other improvements in addition to Wi-Fi that are added in the newly released version of OS X Yosemite:

  • Fix Safari bugs causing slow loading on some places websites
  • Add various improvements to VoiceOver
  • Improvements are added to the synchronization audio and video through connections Bluetooth
  • Fix a problem with Spotlight related to email search
  • Adds the ability to enter from iCloud to the Time Machine backup drive
  • Correct the vulnerabilities found by the project, Google Project Zero It is affecting the connection Thunderbolt

At the moment these are all the changes we have in the new version of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and hopefully the bugs are minor. Obviously what we recommend from Soy de Mac is to update the machine as soon as possible to this latest official version from Apple, but obviously it is possible that the servers are saturated right now due to downloads or even that still does not appear automatically this new version in the Mac App Store, be patient that it will arrive soon and as soon as it arrives, update.

Is it my idea or does it run a little better than before? I also noticed that they corrected the aesthetic details when you removed the transparencies that in the volume or brightness icons appeared badly cropped with a black border and not rounded.

Oysters, well, I can't say if the Safari load is faster, what I have noticed in these hours is that the Mac shuts down much faster. Let's see if the colleagues who had Wi-Fi problems tell us if it improved or not!

It seems that this time Apple did really well!

Regarding the problem with wifi, personally I have worsened. My imac is constantly looking for the network and it disconnects from it continuously causing it to not be able to navigate, apart from the fact that the navigation has slowed down.

Hi, I have an imac 27 bought on December 1st. Everything was going great until I installed the update. He spends all the time looking for a network, it does not let me connect to the internet via Wi-Fi, although I can with cable. Any idea how to solve this? Thank you

I was also having problems with Yosemite so I have downloaded Mavericks and zero problems, also I still have problems with third-party applications that have not updated their drivers, in my case WD with an external disk ... the last time with the update to Mavericks they were deleted all the data on the external drive ... so this time I'm being more cautious.

to continue with the SSD issue, I will leave this link here http://pu5h.info/article/trimming-unused-blocks-on-ssd-with-os-x
Like many of us, perhaps we have activated trim once everything else is installed ... and what is said there is that if so, trim will only work with new blocks from that moment onwards ... so the data we already have will not they are within that operation ... apparently trim should be activated as soon as the OS is installed.

but it is simple to solve that, we restart in Single User Mode, command + S until we see the black screen ... type DOS.
once the text finishes appearing we write without the quotation marks "fsck -ffy" and press enter
begins to check the status of the disk (this is useful when we cannot directly access the OS to repair it) and if we have Trim activated a new line appears that says "** Trimming Unused Blocks", this is supposed to clean the empty blocks until the disc moment ..

Check in case my understanding of English is not good, it was what I understood on the subject.

after it finishes ... type "reboot" without quotes to restart the mac.

Before the update, I entered an intranet and accessed the different servers it has, now it only enters the main server and the rest, the message "safari cannot find the server" appears, I have consulted and eliminated the DNS cache and nothing at all , someone with another possible solution? Thanks.

It improved in the sense of MAKING AND receiving calls between iPhone and (iPad, Mac) that was very bad and irregular, on shutdown is faster and finally SAFARI is disgusting, I downloaded Google Chrome for 64 bits and it's a bullet , I recommend it. In summary few new features, many corrections such as APPLE, mediocre in some things.

Uploads are slow on the web on the iPad and iPhone, not so on MAC  as long as they download it through 64-bit chrome.

as i remove yosemite and go back to mavericks i have a mac lion 10.10.2

  17.   Cristian said

Mario, you must download Mavericks from the AppStore then with the DiskMaker 3.0.4 app you create a bootable disk on a pendrive or SD card that will contain Mavericks as an installer.
Be careful ... the only bad thing about going back to Mavericks is that iCloud Drive stops working. You have contacts, calendars, notes, keyschains etc ... but it won't let you save iWork documents in iCloud for example, it's a pointless deactivation by these fucking Apple.
