Apple lowers its job appeal for young talent

Apple is rated as one of the top 5 companies in the US in terms of attracting and retaining talent to their ranks. However, if it is true that the company's "cache" has fallen below its main rivals, such as Facebook o Google.

The list is headed by the almighty Google, followed by Salesforce y Facebook. Apple has dropped to 4th position, coming out of that usual Top3 this year. Here are the top 10 positions on the list, called "Top Attractive Companies" in the US:

As we can see, there are many of the companies that are currently emerging in the international market, with constant growth and a great attraction for many young talents who are willing to gain a foothold in their sectorfrom marketers to software developers. LinkedIn is left out of this ranking for the first time, it seems that the social network focused on job search, with more than 433 million active users, has not been able to keep up with its main competitors.

This list is made from the analysis of active job applications in each company, and different surveys on LinkedIn, also taking into account different benefits of the employee that they have in each of the companies, such as: family financial support in case of death, maternity / paternity leave, quality of the medical insurance included in the contract, ... We know how they manage in Silicon Valley all these kinds of social benefits, since it is something that is very important and great care is taken in all "top tech" California, not just the companies on this list.

Apple improved slightly in this ranking over the past year, due to the fact that they agreed to distribute to the more than 100.000 employees of the block (including Apple Store workers) shares restricted until that moment only for senior executives. Apple employees themselves value their company's daily work with exceptionally talented colleagues and the great flexibility within the company itself.

The company's internal diversification has also been improving. In the past year it has increased the hiring of women by 65%, around 11.000 more employees.
