Apple Maps expands number of cities with support for UK public transport information

Now that we can no longer regret not being able to enjoy Apple Pay in Spain, since it seemed that this year Apple would not offer any of its services in Spain, it is time to continue expressing our discomfort but this time for another of the services that Apple you are deploying at a slower rate than we would like. I'm talking about the information about public transport, information that allows us to move around the cities without having to use a private vehicle, taxi or Uber, without going any further. The information on public transport offers us both the schedules and the routes of the journey that we have to take to get to a certain point in the city using only public transport.

At the moment, this information is only available in Mexico, if we talk about Spanish-speaking countries and for now it seems that it will continue to be the only one, since Apple continues to focus on the countries where this information was already available and what it is doing is adding more cities in countries where it is available. This type of information has been available in London practically since its launch and yesterday it began to expand to other cities in the country, among which we find: Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds-Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield.

But in addition this information is also available for the small populations that are between those cities. This new information also includes information on national rail transportation in addition to metro and bus transportation. But the United Kingdom is not the only country that has expanded this type of information, since Apple has also added this type of information to Salt Lake City so that only in the United States 28 are the cities that already offer information on public transport. Let's see if with the arrival of next year Apple gets the batteries and begins to offer this service in more Spanish-speaking cities.
