Apple patents the use of Apple Pencil on Macs

We end today with a piece of news that more than one will be happy about and that is that, finally, Apple has given its arm to twist and what in principle was supposed to be just an accessory for the iPad Pro, maybe in the future they will also be an accessory for Mac.

We are talking about a new patent filed by Apple that outlines how a Apple Pencil Vitaminized and modified, it would be able to work on any surface and not just on the screens of our beloved iPad Pro.

On many other occasions I have been talking about this issue and it is that over the years we have been able to see rumors on the network that spoke of the Apple Pencil could reach Macs. The first rumors spoke of the Apple Pencil going to be able to work on the surface of the new Magic Trackpad 2, a peripheral that increased its size considerably in its second version.

Later and with the arrival of the new MacBook Pro with and without Touch Bar, we once again see an increase in the usable surface of the trackpad on these computers. Now, finally, it has been leaked that Apple has thought, in the future, that the Apple Pencil works on a different surface than the iPad Pro screens.

The patent we are talking about can be seen in the following link and has the number 62 / 363,172 being the same registered in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In the description of this patent we can read:

Content creation using an electronic input device on non-electronic surfaces

As we can see in the images, this new Apple Pencil would be able to draw on a flat surface regardless of its nature and is that the patent shows a system that what it does is track the movements of the device.
