Apple Pay continues to spread across Europe

Apple Pay

It may seem like a thing of the past since we have had the payment service available through Apple Pay in our country for some time, but today there are still countries in the European Union that do not have this service available. Apple is currently striving to launch the payment service through Apple Pay around the world and proof of this are the 13 new EU countries that have welcomed this secure, fast and reliable payment method with open arms.

Poland, Norway, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Iceland have succumbed to Apple Pay in the last year and now there are four more: Greece, Portugal, Romania and Slovakia plus Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, Romania and Slovenia. The Cupertino company has to negotiate with financial institutions before launching the service and this delays its implementation considerably more, but today almost all of Europe has this payment method available.

Remember that for Apple Pay to work, you only need an adapted dataphone with NFC, so although in Spain you can pay in almost all places thanks to the good implementation of these devices, in many countries they are still not available and this slows down a little advancement of this payment technology. In any case, paying with an Apple Watch, a Mac, an iPhone or an iPad is increasingly common and in more countries. I remember the principles in which people were surprised when they saw you pay with the Apple Watch, now it is more frequent and therefore we already have it formally implemented and it doesn't look so strange.
