A few days ago we announced that Taiwan will be one of the next stops for Apple Pay, the new way of making payments that Apple is slowly reaching new countries. Today Russia has just been added to the list of countries where iPhone and Apple Watch users they can make payments for their purchases through this technology. At the moment it has only come offering support to a single Sberbank bank and a MasterCard credit card, so the use of Apple Pay in Russia is still quite limited. With Russia, there are already ten countries that currently enjoy Apple's electronic payments technology: Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

According to the Russian news agency Tass, at the moment only holders of a MasterCard credit or debit card from the Sberbank bank will be able to start making payments with their devices. Apparently Apple is having the odd problem with the country's big banks and to continue expanding its service in the country, the guys from Cupertino have decided to launch it, although for the moment with very limited support between banks and card issuers.

But the news related to Apple Pay does not end here, since Apple has added a couple of UK banks to those that are currently compatible with this technology: The Co-operative Bank and Metro Bank. With the addition of these two, there are now 22 banks compatible with Apple's electronic payments technology in the UK.

Moment We do not know which country will enjoy Apple Pay next, With the exception of Taiwan, but seeing the territorial expansion of Apple it is clear that any country can be the next to enjoy electronic payments through the iPhone, Apple Watch and since the arrival of macOS Sierra also from the Mac.
