Apple Pay continues its particular expansion across the new continent. In the United States, Apple's home country, is where Apple Pay has mostly developed. Today's news is the incorporation of 13 new American banks that are added to the list of Apple Pay partners in the country.
This new bundle of recently added banks, is part of the first expansion of Apple Pay in September, date set by the Cupertino-based company for the beginning of the full integration of this new technology.
The thirteen banks that make up this expansion are the following:
- Community National Bank & Trust of Texas.
- First State Bank of Mendota.
- First State Bank Southwest.
- Great Plains Bank.
- Great Southern Bank.
- Holyoke Credit Union.
- Icon Credit Union.
- Landings Credit Union.
- Mascoma Savings Bank.
- McIntosh County Bank.
- Park National Bank.
- Texas Brand Bank.
- Xplore Federal Credit Union.
Already in the last WWDC of this year, Apple announced these news and some new features that we will be able to see very soon on both our phones and iPad with iOS 11 as with Apple Watch with watchOS 4 OS.
"Person to Person" It is the new feature that Apple has incorporated and that will become tangible starting with iOS 11 at the end of this month. With this new feature, we can send money to friends and family through iMessage with Apple Pay.
Another very interesting feature that Apple will incorporate in the coming weeks is Apple Pay Cash, which is basically a debit card that will stay in our Wallet, and with which we can make payments or withdraw the money that we have stored to our bank accounts thanks to these transfers "Person to Person".
It is important to know that, for the moment, both "Person to Person" such as Apple Pay Cash will be exclusively in the United States at its launch. Hopefully soon Apple will begin to develop these types of functions for other users.
Since its launch, Apple Pay is already in banks in Canada, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, Japan, Ireland, Singapore, Taiwan and Spain.
