Apple prepares to launch Netflix from magazines

A few months ago, the Cupertino-based company acquired the Texture company, a Netflix of the magazines that since then has continued to operate under the same name, but which will shortly, according to Bloomberg, could be integrated directly into Apple News, using the same monetization system: monthly subscription.

In 2010, when Steve Jobs introduced the iPad, many were the media who rubbed their hands, since this device came to the market as a savior for the industry, something that we later saw as it was not fulfilled at any time. As the years have passed, many are the media that have switched to their own subscription system.

In the coming years, everything seems to indicate that the income obtained by the media through advertising will continue to decline and this is where Apple wants to get in to take advantage of this great problem of the media. A little over two years ago, Apple launched News, a platform that initially also promised to be a savior, but as time has passed, the media still do not bet on this platform, as has already happened with the Kiosk application on the iPad. The problem is none other than sharing the benefits.

Apple is in negotiations with the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times to join its new project, but for now it seems that the negotiations are being very tough, since both platforms have a subscription system with which they do not have to share the income they obtain with absolutely anyone, something that will not happen with the Apple service.

However, some executives of these media, think that Apple's magazine subscription system can, in the long run, do more harm than good, because it can steal current subscribers of both media, as long as they offer their content through this platform, something they could not do to avoid the risk of losing subscribers.

What Apple at the moment implies is that Apple News just can't find the way to go, since otherwise, this service would be available in more countries, since at the moment, it is still limited to the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
