As we tell you Last monday, and as many of you have recently happened, some spam has been detected that is filtered to our iCloud accounts, and appears in Calendars and other native apps, getting really awkward for us. Apple has finally just acknowledged the failure and they are identifying and blocking the senders causing said spam.

The problem arose on dates close to the famous Black Friday, where a large number of companies increase their invaded advertising to take advantage of the opportunity. Failure was detected, when iCloud users started receiving spam via Calendar invitations.

In a statement to the iMore medium, Apple has just acknowledged this problem, also apologizing to all affected users. They claim that they are taking action, identifying and blocking suspicious senders. Let's hope that during the following days the amount of spam that reaches our devices will be drastically reduced.

“We deeply regret that some of our users are receiving spam via calendar invitations. We are working hard on it to solve this problem as soon as possible. "

Obviously, the solution seems complicated. For every suspicious quantum removed / blocked, two appear. As a preventive measure, and a bit archaic in my opinion, it is recommended that we do not accept or decline any invitation with malicious content. In this way, we will ensure that it is not interpreted that it is an active account and, therefore, we will perhaps suffer less spam. Therefore, it is important not to reject or accept such invitations.

We are waiting to see how Apple copes with this setback. Perhaps a system update that gives users more tools to deal with these types of problems, or perhaps something that automatically blocks these unorthodox messages. Be that as it may, a serious setback that is sapping the patience of many users.
