Apple reduces the price of SSD memory upgrades on some Macs

During these days the market for Macbook Pro is somewhat churning. Doubts always arise in relation to which Macbook Pro I am interested in buying. There are many questions we ask ourselves in terms of performance, capacity, price, size and as unavailability, because in some cases we cannot wait the 3 or 4 weeks that remain to acquire the new Macbook Pro.

We refer to the configuration of the equipment that we acquire directly from Apple. When we have chosen the desired model, when making the purchase allows us to increase certain parameters: RAM memory or hard disk capacity. In this case we refer to the latter.
If you had to assess few parameters to make the right decision, today we know a new one. Apple has not downgraded the previous Apple, or at least so far, but it does reduces the price it costs to upgrade SSD memory from older Macs. This drop also applies to last year's MacBook Air, Mac Pro, iMac and Mac mini.

But the price reduction does not occur equally in all models: in the case of the Macbook Pro the 512 Gb SSD model costs € 200, that is, the discount is € 100. The same goes for the MacBookAir, but in this case going to 512 Gb costs € 250 more. Regarding the Mac Mini, the prices are at € 200, before € 300, for the 512 Gb version and € 600 if we opt for the 1 Tb version, which previously cost € 800. The negative part is found in the 2015 Macbook Pro, as it is the only Mac that does not change the price.

In the case of iMac, the 27-inch model with a 5k screen is more expensive by € 400 if we want a 512 Gb SSD, when its previous price was € 500. In this case, it is worth having the 1 Tb SSD as we will have to pay an additional € 500, only € 100 more than the 512 Gb model and € 100 less than its previous price.

Finally, the Mac Pro It has expansion prices of € 200 and € 600 for 512 Gb and 1 Tb respectively. This capacity could previously be purchased for € 300 and € 800 respectively for 512 Gb and 1 Tb.

In my opinion, it is a good idea for Apple to have a wide range so that the consumer decides and not force them to always buy the latest.
