Apple releases tvOS 4 beta 10.2 for Apple TV one day after other device betas

Apple took advantage of yesterday to release betas for the WatchOS, iOS and MacOS operating systems, but the list was missing the Apple TV tvOS 4 beta 10.2 which has been released a few hours ago. This time around, they focus on new features, bug fixes and improvements to the operating system, as well as SDK, according to the press release published by Apple. Specific, This beta focuses on smoother movements for UIKit and TVMLKit applications, connected device management, and support for Video Toolbox framework.

But the visible improvements of the Apple TV will come in the coming months from the hand of the applications for watching TV and Single Sign-on. Apple itself described it this way a few months ago:

Watching TV is increasingly carried out on apps. And now, with the new TV app, you have one place to access shows and movies, from multiple video apps. It is a unified experience. The TV app lets you watch: all available movies and shows, find upcoming episodes, get recommendations for new stuff, and watch your entire video collection on iTunes. You can even start watching a movie or show right from the TV app. And all this without changing applications.

The function is Single Sign-on is a complement that allows the user to easily authenticate with a TV provider, with video applications and even payment services.

To date, TVOS 10.2 is available only to developers registered in the Apple program, as opposed to what happens in MacOS and iOS, which can be obtained as a developer or under the public beta program.

These betas appear one week after the last one published a week ago. Generally Apple intersperses weeks with and without betas, but this time it repeats.
