Apple renews its content and resources on programming for students and teachers

Swift

Today a new series of tools for teaching programming to students from primary to university was presented to teachers and students. In this sense, we also have improvements in the content "Develop in Swift" and "Programming for everyone" so it is another push to learn programming. The course, which is designed to reinforce the need for computer science teachers in the United States, offers the necessary tools for any trainer to have what it takes to teach app development with Swift.

Susan Prescott Vice President of Markets, Apps and Services of Apple:

Apple has been involved in teaching for 40 years, and we are very proud to know that 'Develop in Swift' and 'Coding for All' have been instrumental in helping teachers and students contribute to their environment. We have seen students from public schools create food safety apps on campus and high school teachers organize virtual programming clubs during the summer. As part of our commitment to help expand access to computer science education, we are excited to add a new professional learning course so that more teachers, regardless of background, can learn to code and train the next generation of developers and designers.

In addition to this Apple also publishes today two new books within "Programming for all". Programming for All - Adventures, is designed for students who have already completed Programming for All - Puzzles, and allows you to create in more advanced ways using code in Swift. Students will learn important programming concepts used in app development as they work through the more challenging Swift Playgrounds lessons.
