Apple puts on sale a book titled "Designed by Apple in California"

As our colleague Jordi Jiménez has said, today is about announcements and it is that in addition to Apple having published two announcements in which it shows the accessibility benefits of its Wireless Solo 3 with the new W1 chip, they have also announced the arrival of a self-produced book which shows the design process of its products in the last 20 years. 

The book is dedicated to Steve Jobs and it's a book In which Jonathan Ive has put a lot of enthusiasm and is that after all it is a book that reflects the design work at Apple in the last 20 years. The book we are talking about is called  "Designed by Apple in California" And it will go on sale tomorrow in certain Apple Stores, among which there is none in Spain.

Apple itself has published a press release on its website that provides all the details of this publication, although in this article we are going to give you a summary of it. This is a hardcover book in two sizes that illustrates the history of Apple product design over the past 20 years in no more and no less than 450 photographs taken by the prestigious photographer Andrew Zuckerman.

As we have told you, they are not photographs in which only the products are shown and they also show photographs related to certain moments of the design process of the same never seen. The photographs that we can see in this great book They cover products from the iMac of 1998 to the new Apple Pencil of 2015.

In principle, the book is aimed at designers and there is data on the techniques that have been used, data that are worthy of being studied in the best design schools. That is why Apple does not release the book in all Apple Stores and has selected only some of them in certain countries.

Regarding the size of the two models that are going to be put on sale, we have that the small size has measurements of 25,9x32,4 inch and the big one 33x41,3 inch. It will be put on sale, exclusively, in Apple.com in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States and in a selection of Apple Stores such as Apple Regent Street and Apple Covent Garden in London; Apple Opera in Paris; Apple Kurfürstendamm in Berlin; Apple ifc mall and Apple Canton Road in Hong Kong; Apple Ginza in Tokyo; and Apple Sydney. In the United States: Apple SoHo, Apple Fifth Avenue, Apple Upper East Side, Apple Williamsburg and Apple World Trade Center in New York; Apple The Grove in Los Angeles and Apple Third Street in Santa Monica; Apple North Michigan Avenue and Apple Lincoln Park in Chicago; Apple Northpark in Dallas; Apple Union Square in San Francisco; and Apple Palo Alto and Apple Infinite Loop in Cupertino.

The book is dedicated to the memory of Steve Jobs.

This beautiful book is printed on specially made paper with a custom tint, matte silver borders, eight color separations, and ink that does not fade. The process to reach this hardcover volume with linen binding has taken eight years. The book is published by Apple and It will cost $ 199 for the small size and $ 299 for the large size.
