Apple shows its plans for the Apple Store in Washington's Carnegie Library

Last September the first rumors began to circulate about the possibility that the Cupertino boys would open a new Apple Store in the emblematic building where the Carnegie Library in Washington DC is located. After several months of rumors, Apple obtained the necessary permissions to be able to open an Apple Store in this mythical library, but as usual, Apple takes it very calmly when opening new Apple Stores and when it has to start construction. This new Apple Store is no exception. The guys from Cupertino have just revealed some details of their plans in this mythical location of their next Apple Store.

Many have been the city council officials who have expressed their discomfort by handing over part of the control to the Cupertino-based company. But according to Apple, its plans are respectful of the current appearance of the library and the role it will offer to all its customers.

Apple workers say they will restore the building to show its original splendor as well as become a venue for concerts, free art exhibitions, learning workshops and programming classes for children among many other things.

Unlike other locations, the Apple logo will not be easily found on the entire exterior of the venue, as the designers will focus on restoring the building's historic character, so the Apple logo will be difficult to find ...

For us, it is not about showing the brand, but about re-enacting history again while respecting it to the fullest.

Among the modifications to be made in the building, we find a glass skylight that will offer natural lighting without depending so much on electrical energy, energy that will obviously be supplied by renewable sources as well as 96% of the current facilities that Apple has spread throughout the world.
