Cloud services are increasingly necessary in our daily needs where local storage capacities they can come up short and more considering that practically most of the minimally populated areas already have access to the network, either by cable or by mobile technology.

For this reason Apple has just signed an agreement with Google where its storage infrastructure in the cloud called "Google Cloud Platform" It will provide some support to the Apple cloud (iCloud) and other services attached to it, according to a report by Business Insider.

According to this report, Apple would have signed this agreement worth between 400 and 600 million dollars with Google during the last year to reduce its dependency on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Although it is not fully confirmed by any specific source, it is known that Apple previously used AWS as part of the iCloud infrastructure that will now migrate to Google, although it does not mean that it completely leaves Amazon aside. As I have said, although it is not confirmed, it is more than likely that the platforms of both Amazon and Microsoft Azure will continue to be used to continue meeting the needs of the service.

Still, Apple is building new data centers in Ireland, Denmark, Reno, and Arizona, in addition to expanding its existing data center in Prineville, Oregon. In addition to the former sapphire crystal manufacturing plant in Arizona, which has been described as a kind of global data headquarters for Apple, where the company has already declared that "it is one of the largest investments we have made."

This means that when you have a sufficiently solid base you will surely get to use your infrastructure created for this purpose.
