Apple updates iTunes again, version 11.2.2

background-mavericks

Apple just released a new version of iTunes that fixes some bugs directly related to downloading podcasts automatically without the user ordering it and some minor issues with the stability of Apple software are also fixed.

On May 17, Apple launched the version 11.2.1 in which some bugs were corrected and one of the main problems of that version, the disappearance of the User folder. In addition, in version 11.2.1, it was used to improve the small errors of the tool and curiously, emphasis was placed on improving the exploration of podcasts, where now Apple found this other error and solves it with this new version 11.2.2 launched today.

If Apple has something good, it is precisely this, that when the software presents a problem of any kind, the Cupertino machinery quickly gets down to work to solve the problem as soon as possible. This is something that we have seen on previous occasions when a problem or software failure arose, once again the problem is solved with an update practically followed.

The update to the new version of iTunes 11.2.1 is now available for everyone, so do not delay in updating to add the improvements implemented. If this new version of iTunes does not appear automatically, you can access it from the menu of the> Software update

In spite of having correctly configured the synchronization via wifi of the iphone, and although on few occasions it was done, now with the iTunes update it cannot find it, and searched everywhere, and it is useless, it only synchronizes with cable, does anyone help?

Hello Salomon, I usually sync with cable but you can try to bypass the network and then reconnect to see if you get it. You already tell us 😉

Thanks Jordi, it is useless I follow all the steps taken and because I have and cannot synchronize via wifi, in fact I even repaired the permissions, I restarted modem, Mac and iPhone and everything still does not work, in the previous version at least a kind of icon appeared in the form of a cloud interacting when trying to connect and not even that appears now.

Hello; It happens to me exactly the same; I am unable to synchronize my iphone and ipad via wifi. I have everything updated itunes, iOS and Maveric. I have tried everything: open ports, reboot, I even restored the iphone and everything remains the same. Through the USB cable if it synchronizes me but by wifi nothing at all. Have you managed to solve it? Thank you.

Similar issues don't appear in Apple's support forums.

Silly question: do you have the iTunes box to sync via WiFi checked in iTunes?

We are still looking for possible causes, greetings and I hope it is solved soon 😉

Yes, that box is checked; I have reinstalled iTunes and nothing. I don't know what to think, if it's because of the Maverick, the iTunes or the livebox router.

Dear, I have problems with the new itunes 11.2.2 for Mac Maverick 10.9.3, since it freezes when starting iTunes trying to synchronize immediately with the iphone even when it is not connected by cable or wifi.
The worst thing is that I have not been able to synchronize and back up my iphone….
    Any data to solve this?
    Thank you

Good Daniel, I suppose you have done it but try deleting iTunes completely and then install again 😉

      regards

Hi Jordi. I understand that you cannot delete itunes on a Mac or is there a way to do it?
    regards
    Daniel

Hello, yes, you can, I have done it but it has not solved the issue, I still cannot synchronize the iPhone5 and the iPad mini via Wi-Fi. Try to have if it works for you.
You go to the iTunes folder (in the Finder) you get on top, you click on the right side of the mouse, I think that in one of the options, you put information about the folder you give it and at the bottom you remove the lock and in the read-only option, you change to read and write. When you have done it, you will be able to completely remove iTunes from the Mac; You restart and reinstall the latest version of iTunes from the Apple store.
I do not know if I explained well; Hope this can help you ,
You already tell us. All the best.

Apfel, it does not work friend since it says that it is an application that is part of the OS.
When reinstalling in the same way the synchronization problem either with usb cable or wifi.
I'll wait to see if apple releases a new version to fix this bug.

    regards

Wow! Well I'm sorry, I did manage to uninstall it, but I'm still the same, unable to synchronize so I'll also wait for a new update. All the best.
