Apple will control applications for macOS Catalina

Apple has sent a notice to developers to take into account that from next year, the applications that they want to install on macOS Catalina, the American company will monitor them carefully.

The notice is not new to developers, since Apple announced it in June at the world conference dedicated to them.

In February Apple will especially control applications for macOS Catalina

In a recent post, Apple has reminded developers that It will monitor with special care the applications that are installed from the Internet itself.

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will begin to apply this measure at the beginning of February 2020. Although he mentioned it last June at the world developers conference, it was known that there would be a delay, but there is already a definitive date.

What the developers will have to do is send the applications to Apple, so that they develop the relevant security protocols before any user, pretend to install the application.

Therefore, it is intended that the applications that can be installed from the network have the same security measures as those downloaded from the Mac App Store. In this way, it is intended to avoid, above all, malicious software.

As of February 3, all those developers who have not uploaded the applications to Apple will have problems. That is, these applications will not pass the security filters of the company and the warnings that they may have generated will be converted into errors.

That way, it cannot be installed on the computer. We already know that macOS Catalina has implemented new and more restrictive security measures for users.

It could be that the developers did not look favorably on these measures, but of course the users are very grateful to them. With them we are a little safer with our Macs.
