How to apply our own rules in Mail for spam

mail-osx

Yesterday we showed some of the options that we have available in Mail Preferences to manage spam. Today what we are going to do is show these advanced options to create our own rules in the Mail app, for spam. The first thing is how to always access the preferences in Mail, and for this we have to open Mail> Preferences> Spam. Once we are back in this configuration option, we can dive into the task of modifying the Mail rules for this email.

To start we will select the option Perform custom actions and then we click on the option that appears at the bottom, Advanced.

Once we are here we already have a lot of options available to add our own rules to spam that will be added automatically in the main spam menu. The interesting thing is to be able to configure all the email accounts that we have in Mail, but it is possible to configure them one by one thanks to the multiple options that appear in the menu «Perform the following actions«. These actions allow us to differentiate between various rules or conditions that are met when spam reaches us.

We can even modify the name of the description that by default comes as «Not wanted»Or if we want todas the rules match to add the mail to spam or only some of the rules. In short, each user can add, remove or modify these Mail options to their liking to be more productive.
