We are facing the disappearance of an old application, but interesting for the majority of Mac users. Apps On Sale, users could find applications with price reductions or new applications that came to the Apple store. With the disappearance of this app (at least momentarily) we were left without similar applications in the Mac store.
Many of us have been using the web for a long time AppShopper to see the featured offers in Mac applications, in the case of Apps On Sale the interesting thing was that they were even shown the new applications that were launched in the store in a specific section for them.
Lack of updates and something else
Possibly the removal of the app from the Mac App Store is due to the lack of updates received by the application since it was launched more than 5 years ago. In any case, despite this old interface, somewhat archaic menus and others, the application was really functional and useful to find new applications in the store.
Now this application is out of service and for more reports that we send to the developer it seems that it will finally be forgotten. As of today, there are no applications similar to this one, so we hope that soon a developer will get to work and launch an application with which to find new offers and applications that are launched in the Mac store similar to what Apps On Sale did. For now it will be time to track in AppShopper and in Apple's own store with recommendations that are definitely not too good despite the changes made in the Mac store.
