The Aqara G2H will be compatible with HomeKit Secure Video (HSV) as just confirmed by the same company. This is one of those security cameras with a really affordable price that more than one HomeKit "fan" will well know or have heard of. In this case, Aqara is a recognized accessories firm that operates within China and offers several very affordable options to domotize our home, office or anywhere.
It is important to say that this camera together with the Aqara M2 hub would be close to launching and although there is no official date, everything indicates that it would be close. The G2H will be compatible with its own Aqara Home app and Apple's Home app, but will also support the ability to use it with HomeKit Secure Video. Apple introduced HomeKit Secure Video, a feature that allows users with one of the HomeKit-compatible cameras from select manufacturers, Logitech is among them, the ability to record everything that happens behind the scenes for 10 days, which is about 200 GB of space in iCloud.
For now and without having an exact date for its official launch, rumors place the launch date in China during the first quarter of 2020 but at the moment there is no precise or specific date on its launch. What must also be taken into account with the Aqara firm is that it is not sold directly outside of China so you have to use web pages with sellers there to make the purchase, something that many users are already used to doing in the present.
