Another Apple I auction in New York

Steve-Jobs-and-Steve-Wozniak

Once again, an Apple computer comes into the hands of an auction company, one of the kind that was created in the mythical garage of Jobs' parents. Is about un Apple I fully functional to be auctioned in New York next month.

The fact is that it is not just any computer since it has been confirmed that it is one of the first fifty units that were manufactured in the early days of the Cupertino company founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Also, as you can see in the images that We enclose it is in a perfect visual and functional state.

One would like to be the owner of that wonder. The truth is that I don't know if I would put it up for auction or not, because having one of the first fifty units of the Apple I is priceless. Those who are organizing the auction know that and that is why it is expected to fetch a price tag of more than half a million dollars.

For the ordinary user, it is an unattainable amount but there are people in the world with a large bank account in which the figure we are talking about is small change. We have added that it is in very good condition because Corey cohen expert and member of the Mid-Atlantic Retro Board of Directors, museum of computer hobbyists, has stated:

It is in an incredible state. For being almost forty years old it is one of the best units I have seen of the Apple I.

It appears that this equipment is one of only six units that are in good condition and capable of operation. The last unit auctioned in 2014 was worth $ 857.000. The owner of that unit sold another in 2013 for a value of $ 671.000.

It seems that the unit we are talking about now was originally sold in a computer store and after being used by its owner only once it was saved because he didn't like the way it works. Now he faces a historic auction.
