I think this is the typical program that whoever has to know it already knows it and whoever needs it will already know it for sure, and it is so good that it does not need any promotion.
Autodesk Maya (also known as Maya) is a computer program dedicated to the development of 3d graphics, special effects and animation. It arose from the evolution of Power animator and the merger of Alias and Wavefront, two Canadian companies dedicated to graphics generated by computer. Later Silicon Graphics (now SGI), the computer giant, absorbed Alias-Wavefront, which has finally been absorbed by Autodesk
Now the 2011 version of this program has been released with a few interesting new features (64 Bits, better administration, improved import ...), which has a price quite outside the orbit of normal users: $ 3495.
