Books, good option for managing personal libraries (although less glamorous than Delicious Library)

Books is a complete personal Library manager, a free option to paid software Delicious Library.

The main difference between the two lies in the graphical interface, one of Delicious Library's greatest and strongest attractions.

Books has less of a visual impact, but it has something to make up for it.

• Possibility of accessing different databases of Libraries around the world (from Amazon, through the Polish Library, that of the EEEU congress to that of the Complutense University of Madrid).
• Integration with iSight to be able to read ISBNs and autocomplete fields.
• Possibility of exporting to iPod or pdf and other library manager formats.
• Assignment of tags, rating and comments of the books.
• Integration with Agenda and Mail to control loans.
• Possibility of assigning custom fields.
• Possibility of creating an internal library server for queries on the local network.
• Possibility of exporting as a complete website, ready to publish on the internet (although some details must be polished in this aspect, it is very comfortable and easy)

In short, it is a very interesting option for personal and even medium-sized libraries.
