The guys from Redmond currently have their eyes, arms and ears on all existing platforms on the market, at least the most widely used such as iOS, Android and OS X. Continuously Microsoft is releasing updates or new applications from its application incubator called Garage of which iOS users have already given due account with some applications. The last application that is about to come out of this incubator is Cache, a new way of managing the information that we put on our clipboard and that is also compatible with iOS and Mac, so that what we copy to a device will be available on the other.
This function will also come from the hand of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra, as we could see in the presentation of the new operating systems that the Cupertino-based company announced at the last Developer Conference in June. In the absence of testing it thoroughly, We cannot buy any of the services to see which offers better results, but as ZDNET has published, Microsoft's idea also allows us to share the copied content with different devices, not only with the one associated with our Apple ID.
In addition, it will also allow us to know at all times from which web page we have obtained a certain paragraph or line, in case we have the need to consult the entire document again. All the information that we copy to this application, we can organize it in different folders depending on whether it is text, images, web pages, files, reference documents… Cache works very similar to OneClip, a previous project of the company that basically offered us the same functions.
Microsoft has enabled a web page where everyone can register those interested in trying this new application. At the moment the expected date of departure has not been announced, so for now we will have to wait for new news about the final availability of this new application that looks very good.
