We already have another large bank announcing the availability of Apple Pay! In this case, and as the title of the tweet that they launched a few minutes ago on their official account says, La Caixa will officially have Apple's payment service available before the end of this year.
This news is in addition to the recent one from Bank N26 and hopefully the rest of the banking entities that we have in Spain, at least the largest. For now there is no specific date on the launch of Apple Pay at CaixaBank, but it is evident that the exclusivity of Banco Santander is ending and the most important banks in our country want to have this service available as soon as possible.
This is the tweet that we found a few minutes ago on the official La Caixa Twitter account:
CaixaBank will launch Apple Pay before the end of 2017 https://t.co/3nQ06pusDi pic.twitter.com/nUNtTbyCoX

So all those users who have an account with this Bank and have an iPhone, Mac or Apple Watch, right now you can enjoy the advantages of having this service available. Hopefully now the other banks in our country join this great payment option for their customers. Clarify that the support added by La Caixa is for clients of CaixaBank and ImaginBank.
On the other hand, it must be borne in mind that the conditions between the different Banks that will offer Apple Pay are different, commissions, advantages, points, commissions and other options will now be more important for entities that will have to offer something else to "retain" the clients. In the case of Banco Santander for example, they charge a monthly commission of 3 euros to customers for having debit and credit cards, these commissions may disappear if the rest of the entities do not charge them, etc ... In any case the important thing is that more banks are already announcing their arrival in Spain.
