One of the few things that I miss on our Macs, is the quick check of the weather forecast for the next few hours. Yes, this option exists and it is very easy to consult, through the notification center. But the ideal option at least in my opinion, is an automatic query.
For this the best option is to have it on our desktop, almost always visible. Today we know that during the Christmas vacation period, the WeatherDesk App, whose usual price is € 0,99, becomes free.
WeatherDesk uses the geolocation of our Mac to know the location. From there download a desktop behind the active applications, with the intention of disturbing as little as possible, but it is very easy to consult. At the same time, we have a minimalist thermometer that indicates, in addition to the temperature, the symbol of the current climate (sun, clouds, etc.) and the city in which we are. But it is not a stationary application, it is updated with some assiduity, with information from the nearby weather stations.
But in addition to being colorful and pleasing to the eye due to the images of the place where we are, we have a wide variety of configurations. The first is clear: choice between degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. Another configuration is to indicate to the application if you want it to run from the beginning or if you prefer to use it at specific moments, by selecting it. But also, adapts to any screensaver we may have.
Lastly, our thermometer is one hundred percent portable to any part of the desk. The application is downloaded in a few seconds, since its size is only 7,2 Mb, which is to be appreciated since otherwise the Mac will fill up with applications that consume memory and resources. I encourage you to try it because it will not leave you indifferent.
