The guys from Google have just launched a new update for Google Chrome, reaching version 79 on all the platforms on which it is available and offers us two main novelties such as: protection of passwords saved in the browser and the operation of the tabs in the background.

The second novelty is found in the operation of the tabs in the background, tabs that will stop updating if we have not used them for a while, thus reducing the use of the processor of our equipment with the consequent battery saving in portable equipment.
Another novelty offered by this new version of Chrome, we find it in the pages that impersonate other websites: phishing. Google has an online service where we can find a list with the phishing websites that it detects or is reported by users. With version 79 of Chrome, every time we visit a web page, the browser will check in real time if the page is dangerous compared to that list.
This Google service updates every 30 minutes, So the new feature of protecting ourselves against phishing attacks is very well intentioned and is probably one of the great advances in preventing these types of scams, which really is what they are.
