Along with the sensational update that we received in the last weeks of Final Cut Pro X to version 10.3, we could also see the update of the little brothers of the saga: Compressor and Motion.
Motion is intended more for a professional imaging environment. However compressor, intended as a complement to Final Cut Pro X for encoding videos, It can save us from more than one trouble when we need to convert a video format, especially to adapt it to the device we want. And of course, this version comes with the interface that Final Cut Pro X is loving so much.
But we are not only talking about aesthetic changes. Internally we can see the following improvements:
- Inspector collects much more detailed information from video and audio files.
- La Touch Bar compatibility on MacBook Pro allows you to enable common functions such as adding or editing bookmarks.
- Also from touch Bar, allows us to have an overview of the timeline and navigate in a tactile way on it.
- Error and warning reports are generated batch coding with detailed notes on required actions.
- Still images have been enhanced with ability to include multiple color spaces and use higher bit depths.
- Support for still image formats DPX, Cineon and OpenEXR.
- Image sequence support OpenEXR.
- Has improved CPU and GPU processing efficiency.
- New DVD disc templates offer more menu and background options.
- New DVD creation options allow you to loop the disc, add animation menus and customize images from the menus.
Compressor is available in the Mac Apple Store at a price of € 49,99. If you have the previous version, the update is available for download free of charge.
