Configure the hot corners in OS X to your liking

Today we are going to talk about another feature of OS X that may help you improve your productivity with the system and is that this option saves time to access some areas of it.

This setting is none other than "Active Corners", a feature that will convert the corners of your screen in shortcuts that can be configured using keyboard shortcuts for greater security since sometimes it is possible that we activate them inadvertently.

To access the configuration of these active corners of the screen, we can do it through System Preferences> Desktop & Screensaver> Hot Corners. The best configuration would be to place, for example, the simplest options with "Start the screensaver" that although they are activated accidentally are not so annoying, while some others it is better to activate them with keyboard shortcuts. hotcorners-1

To be able to configure them like this we only have to hold down the Shift, Alt, or Cmd keys while we select the option that we want to add to the corner. In this way we will avoid its activation to a great extent if we do not press the combination, the only one but is that we will not be able to individually modify each corner with a different combination but the one we choose in a moment will be the standard for all the others.

Even so, if you see this interesting option and you think that by your working methods with the system you can take advantage of it, there are also third-party options such as Quicksilver which they will give you more delay options and ultimately they will improve the somewhat fair options that Apple gives us.

More information - Quicksilver comes out of beta and launches into our arms in its final version
